Daddy's Home

This week daddy has been home with us all day everyday. He took leave before starting the career course to catch up on some family time. I will have to admit I think we were both nervous. it's an adjustment from doing it all on my own to having someone else around 24/7. We joked that he may need to do his 3 hr runs every day and maybe find a part time job or hobby for the afternoon. :) It wasn't needed. We have had a blast and had a lot of downtime. It was much needed as this previous job has been crazy for him and our lives have just been very busy. Although the career course is a much anticipated break I am hoping it goes by very slowly. For our lives are going to take a drastic change after we move here and I am not sure I'm ready for it. There will be more to come about our potential move and almost guaranteed deployment within a month or less of us getting there. Nothing is definite yet so I can't really say a whole lot about it. So for now we are just enjoying our family time for the next 6 months. I guess I should say family and friends. With the end of our time coming here at fort benning I am excited, but pretty sad. we moved here with some very dear friends and have made some new ones along the way. I am going to miss them dearly and it actually brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Motto for the next 6 months...LIVE IT UP!!!

Other than that there isn't a whole lot going on around here. Widmar is training for another long race. 40 or 50 miler who knows. I lose track and I think he is crazy so I just support what he does and I'll be at the finish line cheering him on like always. The boys are getting big and vocal. Their vocabulary is outrageous (at least I think so) and they are way too smart. I can't believe they are almost 21 months old. WOW!!! TIME FLIES!! We are very excited that BUMPA is coming to visit us in a week. I think he is going to be shocked at how big the boys are and everything they do. Sad my mom (mimi) isn't coming too, but we will see them all very soon. (december 17thish to be exact)

Well, that's all for now! I think we will call it an early night tonight. We for some reason think that because Widmar doesnt work we can go to bed at 11 or 12 at night. Which we very quickly regret when our little ones wake up between 6 and 630.

color color

The boys love to "color, color". I had to go to the PX today to get some new color wonder markers because we exhausted our last ones. So, I carry them through the whole store and didn't even know the boys knew I had them. I hand them to the lady at the counter to pay and you would have thought I stole life from those little boys. In unison and harmony haha they were crying and saying "color color". I had to reassure them that I was taking the colors home and we could "color color" there. They kept pointing at the lady at the register and crying and screaming "color color" THE ENTIRE WAY OUT OF THE PX. All the while I was showing them that I had their "color colors" in the bag. I think they honestly thought that she stole their colors. I dont know, but people were laughing hysterically as it sounded like a choir of not so angels singing (crying) in unison. It was beautiful harmony....NOT REALLY! I think I laughed the whole way out to the car. Yes, mom of the year, I know! Jacob cried all the way home until we got out of the car, in the house and I showed them that I still had the "color colors" I don't think I have ever seen him so excited about anything yet. He was jumping and waving his arms and we spent the last hour "color coloring".

On a sidenote: which in reality is a not so sidenote. I am completely amazed at the grace of God and what He has given me.

Family Update

Whew we have been busy! :)

We first went to Chattanooga two weekends ago. I am happy Widmar was able to do his 30mile race and I am very proud of him. However I am happy that weekend is long over. It started by me forgetting the strollers and the diapers. And then the cribs that I had called for to triple check that they would be in the room well..they werent. So the makeshift bed on the floor proved to be rough on all involved. It was great to spend time with family except I will have to say that my bad attitude the first 24hrs we were there probably hindered me a little. Second night we had cribs...the more than 2 hours of sleep helped with the bad attitude.

This past weekend we went to Rock Ranch. Daddy had a 4 day weekend so we took the opportunity to go up on Saturday afternoon to this Chikfila owned ranch. It was AMAZING. Tons of stuff for kids from a corn maze, petting zoo, train rides, tiny town, underground slide, jumping pillow, etc. Lots and lots of fun things. The boys favorite...the train and tiny town. They were awesome there and went the whole day without a nap. I was sure we were in for it when they didnt nap on the way up there, but they surprised me (which they usually do) and were perfect!!! We had a blast and we may be making another trip here soon it was THAT much fun.

Other than that Widmar is VERY busy this week with work. Lots of airplanes needed I guess. THat's his job anything that has to do with aircraft...He is the man! He is in the process of transitioning to a new job at the end of the month which will actually be school. I am looking forward to the change of pace and to have him home more often. I think he will take leave the last week of this month so we can spend some quality family time that we have missed so much of. I am looking forward to it.

Me, well this is probably the busiest week I have had in a very very long time. I have 2 thirty-one shows to go to. One is mine and the other I am moral support. It is also program week at PWOC and I am on the program committee. I will be helping set-up on Wednesday evening and practicing for the skit. (i have one line, I think i say "me too") I don't need much practice I guess! Friday I set up for the big Benning Bazaar and Saturday i have a table at the actual Bazaar with Thirty-One. I am VERY excited about this and I think it will be a great opportunity for me to meet some wonderful ladies. On top of all of this lets not forget I am first and foremost a mommy. :) So me and the boys will be busy busy this week.

The boys...well they are crazy as ever. It's amazing when you look at life through our childs eyes. We are so blessed to have those two little joys in our lives. Even when they are a handful they still make you smile. They are talking A LOT and signing a lot too. They are parrots really. It's pretty funny when we are in the car they have started to sing along to some of the songs. They usually get the last word of whatever the sentences are and say it really loud. It cracks me up every time.

With men it is impossible; but to God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26
